Community
principles.

Free. No subscriptions, no tiers, no upsells.Belonging shouldn't have a price tag. NeuroSpicy Refugees is free and will remain free. A tip jar exists with public accounting — you can see exactly where every dollar goes.
Rules before removal. Always. The community rules are posted and accessible before anyone is ever asked to leave. No member will be removed for violating a rule that wasn't written down when they joined.
Peer-led, not expert-led.No one in this community has authority over you because of a credential or a title. Stewards are peers who showed up consistently. You can become one too.
Three-steward check-and-balance.No single person holds final authority on removal. Three stewards must be involved. This isn't bureaucracy — it's protection against the exact dynamic that made this community necessary.
Radical financial transparency. If money ever flows through this community, the accounting is public. No surprises. No undisclosed revenue model.
Show up as you are, when you're able.No performance requirements. No masking. No pressure to be consistently present or consistently verbal. You belong here in whatever form you arrive.

Your
stewards.

NeuroSpicy Refugees is co-stewarded with equal standing. A third steward seat is open and will be filled by community nomination.

Josh Wolf
Co-Steward · Founder

Journalist, autistic adult, and AI developer based in Nevada City, CA. Removed from the NeuroSpicy Community three times between 2024 and 2026. Built this community because the alternative he needed didn't exist.

Joy
Co-Steward · Founding Member

Found Josh's documentation through an old post, made her own assessment, and reached out independently. Left the NeuroSpicy Community after hearing the story. Posted a song from I Am Joshua as her exit statement. Co-stewarding as a peer, not a credential-holder.

Where this
is going.

Proof of concept → Infrastructure

NeuroSpicy Refugees runs on Skool because Skool is free and the community needed to move fast. What it represents — peer-led governance, financial transparency, rules before decisions, belonging without performance — is what Mycelial is being built to make possible at scale.

Mycelial is a healing community platform built by TranquilTech — designed specifically for the kind of community NeuroSpicy Refugees is trying to be. No algorithmic feeds. No reaction mechanics. Governance-first. Trauma-informed. Community-owned.

If NeuroSpicy Refugees is the proof of concept, Mycelial is the infrastructure for doing this right at scale.
